If you’ve ever worked with me before, there is a very good chance that it was in a live sound application. Don’t tell the DJ or studio pages, but live sound is my favorite.
I have been in the live sound game for a long time. I started back in the late 2000’s, translating my studio experience into a live sound application for a show at a local high school who needed someone who knew what they were doing to run the sound. At that point, I didn’t really know what I was doing, but I faked it until I made it.

From there, I joined with a company out of Woodstock, IL, called B&B Productions, where I learned more techniques and really honed in my craft with some excellent people, many of whom I still call my close friends. I was also lucky to be able to run sound for a number of large festivals and events around Northern Illinois.
After several years, and countless fests, weddings, events, and parties, I decided it was time to leave the nest and go out on my own.

Because I’m good at what I do. I’ve been doing it for a long time, and I plan to continue to do it for a long time.
I’ve done sound everywhere from the world’s sketchiest dive bars to gigantic festivals, and everywhere in between. I’ve done rock bands. I’ve done pop acts. I’ve done country. I’ve done samba. I’ve done intimate singer-songwriter shows. I’ve done insane dubstep shows. I once did a folk festival right next to a demolition derby at a county fair. It was weird but it worked out.
I’m not going to say that I’ve seen it all, but I’ve definitely seen enough to know how to handle what you need.
Quality
Not to toot my own horn, but my gear sounds excellent. I’ve mixed on some….let’s say ‘less than ideal’ sound systems, as well as some world class systems. I much, MUCH prefer when the system sounds good. And if this is my system, I’m not mixing on something that sounds like garbage. And I wouldn’t expect you to have garbage sounding wedges (if needed) either. And if you just need me for a walk-in mix at an existing venue, I’ll do whatever I can to make sure we get the best sounding mix possible.
Personal Service
It’s just me here. I’m able to provide a personal level of service that, frankly, you’re not going to get from a bigger company. I’m very flexible, and will do whatever I am able to do to make sure everyone’s happy.
Also, upon working with Thirtyfour Audio, your show file is saved in our database forever. This means that if you hire Thirtyfour Audio for a one off show, then need me again in 5 years, we will have all of your routing saved and ready to go. We can just plug in and off we go. If you’re got a 3 week tour and you need a sound guy to tag along, I’ll have your sound ready to go every night. Convenience? And how!
Value
I think I cost less than a big company. I don’t really know though, honestly. I do know that I have less overhead than a big company, so I can afford to mix you for what I assume is less. See what they’re charging and I bet I come in under.
